Durante il tour promozionale per I Mercenari 2, Dolph Lundgren è stato intervistato dall'Hufftington Post e gli è stato chiesto se ci sono giovani attori che potrebbero essere adatti per interpretare il personaggio di He-Man."Bene, vediamo. Penso che serve qualcuno ben messo e affascinante, dovrebbe saper recitare qualche linea di copione, in più di quello che ho fatto io. Penso a Channing Tatum, non so, non conosco tutti i giovani attori ma è proprio un ragazzo carino. Ha un corpo atletico, cosa che serve, a meno che non si debba indossare una tuta, come Batman. Se servono muscoli veri, ci vuole qualcuno che si è allenato." Lundgren non disdegna neanche Chris Hemsworth anzi ritiene che possa essere un'alternativa. Inoltre visto che il regista Jon M.
