Jj Abrams has said that he finds modern movie budgets to be "preposterous". The director, whose most expensive film - next year's Star Trek 2 - cost $$185 million (£117.5 million) to make, insisted that it is possible to make a good film without the budget skyrocketing to $$250 million or more.
