In addition to being incredibly action-packed, the world of The Road Warrior has always been a little bit loopy. The plot details of the long-in-development-hell, fourth film in the post-apocalyptic Aussie franchise have finally been announced by Mad Max creator and director George Miller, employing some creatively named characters and nicely incorporating the term "word burgers" in the logline.

"Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived," says Miller of the Fury Road plot.

Tom Hardy takes over the title role of Max Rockatansky from Mel Gibson, while a close-cropped Charlize Theron plays the role of Imperator Furiosa. The rest of the cast includes Nathan Jones as Rictus »
