La produzione di Mad Max: Fury Road avrà avuto diversi problemi e impedimenti, come quello riguardante il 3D nativo, fatto sta arriva oggi la comunicazione ufficiale dell'inizio delle riprese, in data 9 Luglio, con alcune rivelazioni sulla trama e i nomi del cast.
Il film è una produzione congiunta Kennedy-Miller-Mitchell ed è scritto e diretto da George Miller, prodotto e distribuito dalla Warner Bros. in associazione con Village Roadshow Pictures. Questo quarto capitolo del franchise vede Max Rockatansky, interpretato da Tom Hardy, viaggiare attraverso il deserto assieme all'Imperatrice Furiosa, Charlize Theron. I fatti di questa pellicola precederanno quelli di Road War.
