Il reboot di una serie storica degli anni '80, Beauty and The Beast, sarà trasmesso ad Ottobre sul canale statunitense CW, con la ster di Smallville, Kristin Kreuk, il produttore esecutivo Brian Peterson e Kelly Souders. La Kreuk e Ryan nel video dell'intervista parlano dei loro ruoli e della serie in generale.Interpretando un personaggio completamente diverso da Lana Lang, la Kreuk sarà Catherine Chandler, detective della omicidi, che entrerà in contatto con la "bestia" Vincent Koslow, Jay Ryan, risultato di un esperimento militare finito male. Sconosciuto agli occhi di Catherine, Vincent l'ha salvata nove anni prima la notte che la madre è stata uccisa.
