Ha conquistato la prima posizione in classifica negli USA The Bourne Legacy, lo spin-off della saga di Jason Bourne. Più di 40 milioni di dollari incassati e confermato l’amore del pubblico nei confronti della saga, iniziata con Matt Damon e ora proseguita con Jeremy Renner (The Avengers, Mission: Impossible 4) nei panni di un nuovo agente Treadstone.
Il film è stato scritto e diretto da Tony Gilroy, regista dell’acclamato Michael Clayton e sceneggiatore dell’intera saga. In una recente intervista Gilroy ha parlato del futuro del franchise, spiegando che più che realizzare una nuova “Bibbia” dell’universo di Jason Bourne, ha dovuto semplicemente usare quella che esisteva ampliando l’universo della prima trilogia. Pare inoltre che il registi detesti un certo modo di impostare reboot e franchise, ecco le sue parole:
