Nelle sale americane arriva la commedia 'Hope Springs', con la Streep, 'Nitro Circus' e 'Goats'. Spazio al cinema di genere in UK, mentre in Francia Juliette Binoche è nel dramma 'A coeur ouvert' Mentre in Italia a Ferragosto le sale chiudono, all'estero escono nuovi film di tutti i generi, per accontentare tutti i target di pubblico possibili. Negli States ad esempio è il weekend di debutto di The Bourne Legacy, ma anche dell'adrenalinico Nitro Circus: The Movie (ispirato all'omonimo show targato MTV) così come le commedie Hope Springs, con Meryl Streep e Tommy Lee Jones e Candidato a sorpresa, che vede fronteggiarsi Zach Galifianakis e Will Ferrell.
