Brandon Cronenberg, hijo del reconocido cineasta David Cronenberg, debutará como director en “Antiviral”, película de terror protagonizada por Caleb Landry Jones, Sarah Gadon y Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange).
La premisa es la siguiente: un empleado de una clínica se dedica a vender inyecciones de virus obtenidos de celebridades para que los fans puedan enfermarse de lo mismo que sus ídolos. La cosa se complica cuando él mismo se inyecta una enfermedad. Tras la muerte de la actriz que la portaba, Syd tendrá que encontrar la cura antes de que el tiempo se le agote.
Sin duda es algo muy excéntrico, o hasta ridículo, pero será cuestión de verla para poder juzgar. Por lo pronto, se proyectará en el Toronto International Film Festival y Sitges.
