Variety ha riportato la notizia che il controverso regista nipponico Takashi Miike ha scritturato le star della tv Takao Osawa (Jin Minakata nel live-action Jin) e Nanako Matsushima (Reiko Asakawa in Ring) come protagonisti del suo nuovo thriller Wara no Tate (Shield of Straw). Nella pellicola, Osawa e Matsushima interpreteranno due poliziotti che avranno il compito di trasportare un killer reo confesso in tutto il paese. Durante il viaggio, i due devono evitare di imbattersi nei cacciatori di taglie, desiderosi di mettere le mani sulla taglia di 12 milioni di dollari offerta dal ricco nonno della vittima. Tatsuya Fujiwara (Death Note) sarà il killer. Le riprese del nuovo progetto cinematografico di Miike inizieranno il 19 agosto. »
