The Hollywood Reporter ha rivelato che Shia LeBeouf, la celebre star della trilogia di "Transformers", sarà parte del cast del prossimo attesissimo film del regista e sceneggiatore danese Lars von Trier, "Nymphomanic" (ninfomane). Al momento il cast vede già confermati Charlotte Gainsbourg nel ruolo chiave di Joe e Stellan Skargard in quello di Seligman, mentre non è stato specificato in che ruolo subentrerà LeBeouf.
La trama è stata descritta nella seguente maniera:
""Nymphomanic" è la storia selvaggia e poetica di un viaggio eroico dalla nascita all'età di 50 anni, raccontato dalla protagonista Joe, che si è auto-diagnosticata come una ninfomane. »
