L'attrice torna ad interpretare una commedia romantica del quale sarà anche produttrice, insieme a Peter Chernin. In 'The Beard' si parla di una 'copertura' che dovrebbe sviare i sospetti sull'omosessualità di uno dei protagonisti. Con il suo prossimo progetto, The Beard, Reese Witherspoon torna ad interpretare una commedia romantica, ma anche se il titolo potrebbe suggerire diversamente, non vedremo la bionda attrice americana con il viso incorniciato da una folta peluria, perchè in questo caso la barba del titolo altro non è che una "copertura" alla quale un personaggio gay farà ricorso per sviare i sospetti sulla sua omosessualità, in questo caso una donna che fingerà di essere la sua fidanzata.
