File this one under “I’m sorry, what?” Universal already made some unexpected mint with their Three Stooges reboot from earlier this year, so why not give that same treatment to something like, oh, how about The Little Rascals? What, you don’t care about The Little Rascals? Moviehole (via Cinema Blend) reports that Universal is rebooting the classic ’30s and ’40s television show Our Gang for a new feature that will also draw inspiration from the 1994 feature film that attempted to make the cute-kids-being-tricksters trope feel more modern, with surprisingly okay results (that one also came from Uni). The film doesn’t yet have a cast, but they’ve lined up one heck of a director. The new Rascals will be helmed by one Alex Zamm, possessor of one of the most boggling resumes in current circulation.
