The Us trailer arrived a few months ago, but with the film's imminent UK arrival, we've now got our own promo for On The Road, Walter Salles' eagerly-anticipated adaptation of Jack Kerouac's famous Beat novel. <br />It's not terribly different to the first trailer, it must be said, but gives us further glimpses of Salles' impressive cast, plenty of jazz, and loving period detail in the cars, landscapes and, of course, wide open roads. It's looking like an Edward Hopper painting come to life.Kerouac's book was the cornerstone of the Beat movement, influencing the likes of Bob Dylan, Hunter S Thompson, and Gus Van Sant, who tried to get his own film version going for years. It was originally written as an autobiographical travelogue, but became nominally a novel when it was decided that it might be a good idea to change the names. Kerouac typed it as »
