Dopo il film prodotto nel 1999 Il Mistero di Sleepy Hollow, interpretato da Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Christopher Walker e Miranda Richardson ed ispirato al romanzo di successo scritto da Washington Irving, intitolato La leggenda di Sleepy Hollow, potrebbe arrivare un adattamento televisivo nel 2013, oppure due serie tv. La prima è di Alex Kurtzman e Roberto Orci, mentre l'altro progetto televisivo è scritto da Patrick Macmanus e Grant Sharbo, e risultano alquanto simili nell'impostazione.Il progetto di Alex Kurtzman e Roberto Orci è un thriller soprannaturale basato sulla leggenda di Sleepy Hollow ed è prodotto da 20th Century Fox Tv e K/O Paper Products. E' ambientato ai giorni nostri e narra le vicende di Ichabod Crane e dello sceriffo di una città segnata dalla guerra tra il bene e il male.
