La revista Sight & Sound, del British Film Institute, ha dado a conocer el nombre de la ganadora de la mejor película de todos los tiempos. La galardón recayó en Vértigo, dirigida por Alfred Hitchcock. Este resultado supone el fin del reinado de El ciudadano, de Orson Welles, que ocupa esta vez el segundo lugar tras cincuenta años de encabezar la lista.
