Da tempo si aspettava di sapere chi avrebbe impersonato il ruolo di Malekith The Accursed, l’antagonista di Thor, sempre interpretato da Chris Hemsworth, nel sequel – Thor: The Dark World - che sarà diretto da Alan Taylor. E, oggi, Deadline ha scoperto l’arcano ufficializzando che la parte è andata al grande Christopher Eccleston. Quindi Eccleston sarà il super cattivo del mondo Marvel, il leader degli Elfi Oscuri del regno di Svartalfheim. Nono Dottore di Doctor Who, ma l'abbiamo visto anche in G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, anche se per noi l'attore inglese, rimane indimenticabile nel film di Danny Boyle, Piccoli omicidi tra amici, ma si risale al 1994.
