Before crushing throats and breaking backs in The Dark Knight Rises, Tom Hardy was pissing off another group of iconic figures in Star Trek: Nemesis. The film was the last journey for the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew and would become the lowest grossing Star Trek film of all time. The franchise lay low and went for a complete reboot in 2009 with J.J. AbramsStar Trek.

Hardy played an evil clone of Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard. Below is a video of Hardy’s screen test, compared with his final performance in the film. He’s obviously undergone some prosthetic work to look more like Stewart in the final film.
