One film I felt could have very easily ended up on the slate of titles at the Toronto Film Festival was Robert Lorenz's directorial debut Trouble with the Curve featuring Clint Eastwood as Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves scout with vision problems whose daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams), reluctantly agrees to be his eyes on a crucial recruiting trip. Above is the first picture released from the film, which is set to hit theaters on September 28. The film co-stars Matthew Lillard, John Goodman, Scott Eastwood and Justin Timberlake who plays Johnny, a rival young scout who happens to like and respect Gus. Lorenz is Eastwood's longtime Malpaso producing partner and he was somehow able to get him in front of the camera without being behind the camera as well for the first time in almost 20 years, the last time being 1993's In the Line of Fire for Wolfgang Petersen.
