Dopo l'annuncio di gran parte del cast, iniziano a circolare nuovi rumors su The Wolverine, nuovo prequel incentrato sul mutante artigliato della Marvel interpretato da Hugh Jackman...Dopo aver trovato il suo antagonista (Silver Samurai, interpretato da Will Yun Lee) e buona parte del cast principale, The Wolverine si ritrova al centro di nuovi rumors ancora non confermati. Stando ad uno scambio di battute su Twitter, la popstar giapponese nota come Gackt potrebbe essersi unito al cast del film con Hugh Jackman in un ruolo non specificato.Parallelamente si è affiancato un'ulteriore rumor: anche la popstar Jin Akanishi dovrebbe far parte del già nutrito cast del film. Secondo i rumors, la popstar/attore (sarà anche in 47 Ronin) dovrebbe essersi unito a Jackman in questa nuova avventura. Inutile ricordarlo, nessuno dei due rumors ha ancora ricevuto conferme. »
