Hotel Transylvania sneak preview with Selena Gomez and helmer Genndy Tartakovsky Sony Pictures Animation celebrates its 10th year in operation with “Hotel Transylvania,” which is set for release in September. The studio first released “Monster House” in 2006, and followed that up with “Surf’s Up,” “Open Season,” “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” and its biggest hit to date, the CGI/live action “The Smurfs” last year. The studio recently gave a sneak peak of the animated film that stars Adam Sandler as Dracula, the Hotel Transylvania owner and overprotective father who is throwing a 118th birthday bash for his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez). As their friends – from Frankenstein to the Mummy – made their appearances, so does a traveler (Andy Samberg) who innocently stumbles across the spooky and remote hotel. Dracula’s goal now is to keep the increasingly independent Mavis from the human who could bring upheaval to their monstrous world.
