Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions for the 85th Academy Awards through February 24th, when the winners are announced. After shocking snubs for Kathryn Bigelow and Ben "I would have won this if I'd been nominated" Affleck, we are left with Steven Spielberg, Ang Lee, David O. Russell, and -- most surprisingly -- Michael Haneke and Benh Zeitlin in a race with no frontrunner. Spielberg, Lee and even Russell could take this, but we give Spielberg a very slight edge.
