The Amazing Spider-Man, film in uscita il 3 luglio nelle sale USA e il 4 luglio in Italia, affronta, da una prospettiva diversa, la storia di Peter Parker: un liceale cresciuto con gli zii, Ben e May. Il ragazzo scopre una misteriosa valigetta appartenuta al padre, che lo porta dritto alla Oscorp e al laboratorio del Dr. Curt Connors. Spider-Man si scontrerà con l'alter-ego di Connors, Lizard. Nel cast si annoverano: Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen e Sally Field.
