Continua a diventare sempre più concreto il lungometraggio The Last Voyage of Demeter, incentrato sul viaggio della Demeter, la nave che avrebbe trasportato il corpo di Dracula dalla Transilvania all’Inghilterra.
Negli anni il progetto è finito nelle mani di registi come Robert Schwentke, Marcus Nispel, Stefan Ruzowitzky e David Slade, senza però ricevere un via ufficiale. Ora che il progetto è stato affidato a Neil Marshall, sembra però che la produzione sia vicino al via e che sia anche stato trovato il protagonista.
Stando a quanto riportato dal sito Bloody Disgusting, Viggo Mortensen sarebbe al momento in trattative per interpretare il ruolo del protagonista Henry Clemens. Inoltre il sito ha confermato la presenza di Ben Kingsley, a cui era stata precedentemente affidato il ruolo del capitano. In forse invece il coinvolgimento di Noomi Rapace, anche lei inizialmente prevista nel cast.
