Fast national ratings for Thursday, June 21, 2012

ABC's final broadcast of the 2012 NBA Finals beat the other networks in ratings just like the Miami Heat crushed the Oklahoma City Thunder for a championship ring. Game 5 of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and co. angling for a title won the night for ABC, averaging 12.9 million viewers for the night and a 7.8 rating/14 household share.

CBS' standard summer rerun fare still performed solidly, averaging 7 million viewers (4.5/8), with Fox coming in third (3.7 million, 2.3/4), NBC coming in fourth (3.2 million, 2.2/4) and The CW rounding out the night with an average of 770,000 viewers (0.5/1).

The number isn't 100 percent accurate for the basketball game because Nielsen measures by time period, not by show, but an updated number should be released soon.

ABC also won in the adults 18-49 demo with a 5.3, followed by CBS's 1.5, Fox's 1.3, NBC's 0.7 and The CW's 0.3.
