Tra i prossimi progetti della Warner Brothers c’è anche il remake di The Thin Man, diretto da Rob Marshall ed interpretato da Johnny Depp. Il progetto avrà un budget sui 100 milioni di dollari. Sebbene la pellicola stia ancora aspettando il via libera, era stato annunciato per fine novembre, l’inizio delle riprese.
Deadline riporta che lo studio ha frenato il progetto, permettendo così a Marshall di passare ad un altro film, Into The Woods che dirigerà per la Walt Disney, basato sul musical di Stephen Sondheim e sul libro di James Lapine. Depp invece, sembra che ne approfitterà per prendersi una pausa.
Si vocifera che questo stop sia stato causato da un budget troppo elevato, causa che ha fatto bloccare allo studio già altri due progetti: Arthur & Lancelot e Akira. La Warner ha dichiarato che non c’è nessun dramma dietro questa scelta, visto che il progetto non aveva ancora ricevuto l’ok, »
