Il regista francese Leos Carax sarà insignito del Pardo d’onore Swisscom nel corso della prossima edizione del Festival del film Locarno.
Per l’occasione saranno proiettati i suoi cinque lungometraggi: Boy Meets Girl (1984), Rosso sangue (Mauvais Sang, 1986), Gli amanti del Pont-Neuf (Les Amants du Pont-Neuf, 1991), Pola X (1999) e Holy Motors (2012) nonché il film collettivo Tokyo!, di cui Carax ha diretto l’episodio Merde (2008). Il giorno successivo alla cerimonia di consegna del premio, che avrà luogo in Piazza Grande, Leos Carax terrà una conversazione con il pubblico aperta a tutti.
Olivier Père, Direttore artistico del Festival, dichiara di essere «molto onorato di invitare a Locarno Leos Carax, uno dei più grandi autori del cinema mondiale. Le sue creazioni Boy Meets Girl e Rosso sangue sono i manifesti estetici più autentici degli anni Ottanta.
