Beetlejuice. Spiritello porcello è stato uno dei film più amati di Tim Burton e già da tempo era nell'aria l'idea di un sequel: ora pare proprio che quest'idea sia diventata realtà ed è stato lo stesso regista a confermarlo, sostenendo che lo sceneggiatore Seth Grahame Smith (lo stesso di Dark Shadows) starebbe già lavorando sul nuovo script. Il film originale racconta la storia dei coniugi Maitland (interpretati da Geena Davis e Alec Baldwin) i quali, deceduti in un incidente d'auto, tornano come fantasmi a infestare la loro vecchia dimora, infastidendo così i nuovi proprietari, la cui figlia (che ha il volto di Winona Ryder) nutre uno speciale interesse per la morte: tuttavia, i veri guai »
