O Círculo de Críticos Online Portugueses votou e elegeu Take Shelter o melhor filme do mês de Maio, com uma média de 8,67 em 10. Este valor faz do filme de Jeff Nichols o melhor filme do ano até à data, superando Tabu, de Miguel Gomes, que passa agora à segunda posição, com 8,50.
O pódio do mês de Maio completa-se com We Need to Talk About Kevin, de Lynne Ramsay (que tem entrada directa no terceiro lugar do Top 2012) e Wuthering Heights, de Andrea Arnold (que entra para o sétimo lugar do Top 2012). Já o filme português A Teia de Gelo, realizado por Nicolau Breyner, obteve a pontuação de 2,75, tornando-se o quarto pior filme do ano até ao momento.
