Dopo Ray Donovan, il network americano Showtime presenta un nuovo progetto televisivo in partenza per la prossima stagione. Stiamo parlando di Masters of Sex, un telefilm che racconta gli studi di William Masters e Virginia Johnson, rispettivamente un sessuologo ed una psicologa americani, che negli anni '60 suscitarono molte polemiche per il loro nuovo metodo di studiare la sessualità dell'essere umano. I due non si limitavano infatti a valutare delle interviste per formulare le loro teorie, ma si documentarono ulteriormente sugli atti sessuali di centinaia di volontari, che venivano filmati e fotografati. I due protagonisti verranno interpretati da Michael Sheen e Lizzy Caplan che da un ospedale di St. Louis, diventeranno popolari in tutta l'America. »
