Paramount Pictures ha cerrado la pre-producción de su reinicio de "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" y ha pasado su fecha de lanzamiento de la Navidad (25 de diciembre) de 2013 al 16 de mayo de 2014. El estudio dijo que no iba a estar listo para la fecha de grabación de octubre. El objetivo ahora es trabajar en el guión con el fin de reducir el presupuesto ligeramente hacia abajo. Michael Bay está produciendo y Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) se encuentra a bordo para dirigir un guión de Josh Appelbaum y Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol).
