Drake, Leonard Cohen, Feist and Grimes are among the artists who have made the shortlist for this year's Polaris Music Prize. Awarded annually since 2006, the Polaris Music Prize is presented to a full-length album by a Canadian artist or artists in recognition of its artistic merit, regardless of genre or sales figures. Similar awards ceremonies around the world include the Australian Music Prize, the Choice Music Prize in Ireland and the Mercury Prize in the UK. Drake is recognised for his second studio album Take Care - released last November - while Cohen has been given the nod for his twelfth studio album Old Ideas. Grimes is nominated for her breakthrough release Visions, her third album and first release for 4Ad, while Feist makes the longlist with her fourth longplayer Metals. Previous winners (more) »
