It being a slow TV news moment between the network shows being out for summer, "Mad Men" and "Game of Thrones" ending and "The Newsroom" and "Breaking Bad" beginning, the story that a model of George W. Bush's noggin was among the severed heads put on display by order of King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) in episode ten of season one of "Game of Thrones" has gotten more traction than it probably should have. io9 found the snippet of video from the DVD set in which show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss acknowledge in the commentary that the 43rd president's head is one of those up on pikes surveilled by Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner): "The last head on the left is George Bush.
