With all the attention on Batman, Catwoman and Bane, it's easy to forget about one of the other unsung heroes of "The Dark Knight Rises." No, we're not talking about series staples Alfred, Gordon or Lucius. We're not even talking about Christopher Nolan behind the camera, or Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the new role of beat cop John Blake. We're talking about another uniformed officer instead, Commissioner Foley, played by Matthew Modine.

But even if he's not at the front and center of "Rises," the actor himself is more than pleased with his experience shooting Nolan's third and final Batman movie.

"The only thing I can say is that the experience of working with Christopher Nolan and this tremendous cast of returning characters and new characters -- Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway, my friend Gary Oldman -- on such an extraordinary franchise is one of the highlights of my career," Modine told Cbr News. »
