After dipping his toes into motion-capture filmmaking with 2004's The Polar Express, visionary director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) went on to continue exploring his passion for animation with Beowulf (2007) and A Christmas Carol (2009), and for a time it seemed that 2000's double bill of What Lies Beneath and Cast Away may have been the last live-action offerings we'd see from the Academy Award-winning director. However, the disastrous box-office performance last year's Zemeckis-produced Mars Needs Moms proved to be the final nail in the coffin of his performance capture studio ImageMovers Digital, so now he's getting back into the live-action business with Flight - an airborne drama headlined by Denzel Washington (Safe House) - which received its first trailer late last week.
