Il regista di Fast and Furious Rob Cohen svilupperà un film d'azione con protagonista nientemeno che Isaac Newton…
Isaac Newton eroe d'azione? Se vi sembra un'idea folle chiedetelo a Rob Cohen, regista di Fast and Furious, XxX e La mummia 3, che su questa idea vuole sviluppare un intero franchise.
Cohen collaborerà infatti con Gene Kirkwood, produttore esecutivo di Rocky, per trasformare la figura del grande matematico inglese in un detective seicentesco alle prese con casi misteriosi. Alla base dell'idea c'è proprio la volontà di sviluppare un progetto insieme.
Cohen, che scriverà lo script, ha spiegato:
Volevo lavorare con Gene da quando ci siamo incontrati nel 1975. Lui voleva che Billy Dee Williams interpretasse Apollo Creed in Rocky. Non ha funzionato, ma non ho mai dimenticato la sua intensa confiducia in un attore sconosciuto e il suo script brillante. Aveva e ha ancora quella visione.
