Squadra di supereroi ne chiama un'altra: così, dopo che al cinema ha spopolato The Avengers, la squadra dei supereroi vendicatori targata Marvel, ecco che anche la DC si fa avanti con l'idea di portare al cinema il suo gruppo personale di superuomini e superdonne. Nello specifico si tratta della cosiddetta Justice League, composta da supereroi del calibro di Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash e Lanterna Verde, dei quali non tutti sono ancora arrivati sul grande schermo: se, infatti, i film su Superman e soprattutto su Batman non si contano più (i prossimi in arrivo sono The Dark Knight rises per l'Uomo-Pipistrello e Man of Steel per l'Uomo d'Acciaio, per l'appunto), Flash e Wonder Woman non sono stati ancora portati sul grande schermo, anche se già si sta lavorando agli script sui loro film.
