George Lucas si prepara a lasciare la guida della Lucasfilm: al suo posto arriva Kathleen Kennedy, storica produttrice di Steven Spielberg...
Solo l'altroieri vi segnalavamo che George Lucas è pronto per ritirarsi e si sta allontanando dalla Lucasfilm, e oggi questi suoi piani diventano concreti. La Lucasfilm ha infatti nominato la produttrice Kathleen Kennedy co-direttrice generale.
La Kennedy è una storica produttrice di Hollywood (i suoi primi cinque film sono stati E.T., Poltergeist, Twilght Zone, Indiana Jones e il Tempio Maledetto e Gremlins) e ha lavorato per anni al fianco di Steven Spielberg e Lucas stesso. Lucas rimarrà CEO della compagnia e sarà co-direttore generale in vista però di un passaggio di consegne definitive. Micheline Chau rimarrà COO e Presidente.
Non è ancora ben chiaro come ciò si rifletterà sul ruolo della Kennedy come produttrice di Spielberg, anche se il periodo di transizione dovrebbe durare un paio d'anni. »
