Now that The Avengers is out of the way, Marvel Studios is pressing ahead with subsequent solo instalments in the Cinematic Universe, beginning with the Shane Black-directed Iron Man 3. With principal photography getting underway this past Wednesday in Wilmington, North Carolina, further casting news has now emerged, starting with confirmation that Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau has closed a deal to reprise his on-screen role as Happy Hogan, joining fellow returnees Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (Rhodey) and Paul Bettany (voice of Jarvis).

In addition to Favreau, it's also been reported that Ashley Hamilton (Sunset Beach) is in talks to join the cast in the role of Firepower, which Variety describes as “a small part”.
