The latest (and flashiest) adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel “The Great Gatsby” comes at the hands of style-obsessed director Baz Luhrmann. If you’re familiar with the Aussie director’s other work, such as “Romeo + Juliet” (1996) and “Moulin Rouge!” (2001), this fast-paced, frenetic interpretation of Fitzgerald’s work should come at no surprise.

Director: Baz Luhrmann

Writer: F. Scott Fitzgerald (novel), Baz Luhrmann and Craig Pearce (Screenplay)

Studio: Warner Bros Pictures

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Carey Mulligan

Release: December 25, 2012
