Killing Them Softly es el nuevo largometraje del director neozelandés Andrew Dominik (Chopper, El asesinato de Jesse James por el cobarde Robert Ford), con quien se vuelve a reunir con Brad Pitt para contarnos en clave de thriller uno de sus temas recurrentes: la mafia. La película acaba de estrenar su póster de avance.
Tres criminales no demasiado inteligentes atracan una partida de póker auspiciada por el hampa, haciendo que la mafia local entre en bancarrota. Brad Pitt interpreta a Jackie Cogan, el único personaje listo de la historia, un matón a sueldo encargado de restablecer el orden y conseguir así que le paguen por matar atracadores.
Completan el reparto del film Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy y Ben Mendelsohn.
Si todo va bien y no se sufren retrasos, el estreno en España de Killing Them Softly está previsto para el próximo 21 de septiembre.
