L'attrice è stata ingaggiata per interpretare la protagonista nella nuova commedia dark dallo sceneggiatore di American Beauty Alan Ball...
Giunge direttamente dal Festival di Cannes la notizia dell'ingaggio di Elizabeth Banks nella dark comedy intitolata What's the matter with Margie?, annunciata nella giornata di ieri dalla Myriad Pictures.
Alla base della pellicola lo script di Alan Ball, vincitore del premio Oscar per la sceneggiatura di American Beauty e creatore delle serie televisive della HBO Six Feet Under e True Blood.
Il film racconterà le vicende di una lavoratrice (Elizabeth Banks) che, dopo anni di abusi subiti in ufficio, finalmente decide di reagire e pianifica di uccidere chi l'ha tormentata per tanti anni.
Daniel Minahan (True Blood, Series 7: The Contenders) dirigerà il film mentre Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind) e lo stesso Ball produrranno il progetto.
