The Weinstein Company has acquired rights from Goalpost Film to the Australian film "The Sapphires," the studio said Tuesday. The deal  includes most worldwide rights, with the exception of the U.K, and Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, Canada, Israel, Portugal and airlines. The movie is directed by acclaimed Aboriginal actor and theater director Wayne Blair, and stars Chris O'Dowd (pictured left), who is best known for playing the traffic cop love interest of Kristen Wiig in last summer's "Bridesmaids."  Inspired by a true story, the film follows four young and talented Australian Aboriginal »
