Qualche giorno fa abbiamo visto il trailer di The Campaign, pellicola diretta da Jay Roach (Ti presento i miei) che uscirà il prossimo ottobre (Qui potete rivederlo).
La Warner Bros ha intenzione però di affidare al regista anche un’altra pellicola: si tratta di El Presidente, action comedy scritta da uno degli autori della serie TVParks and Recreation, Daniel J. Goor. La storia vede protagonista un agente segreto incaricato di proteggere un ex-Presidente affetto da demenza senile, con risultati estremamente esilaranti.
Fino a qua pellicola interessante e nulla di più, se non che per i due ruoli si vocifera due nomi: Tom Cruise e Robert Downey Jr.!
Di Cruise, che ormai sta vivendo una seconda giovinezza a livello di carriera, se ne era già parlato ed interpreterebbe l’agente, mentre il Presidente del titolo potrebbe interpretato da un’invecchiato Downey Jr. In passato si era parlato di Jack Nicholson per la parte, »
