Il nostro racconto della leggenda di Batman è sempre stato incentrato sulla storia di Bruce Wayne. In qualche modo abbiamo lasciato il pubblico in sospeso, alla fine del secondo film, per quanto riguarda la storia di Bruce, e vogliamo chiudere completamente il cerchio e raccontare una storia completa. Abbiamo pensato a un grande finale, ormai da diversi anni. »
