New Artists Alliance und Caliber Media haben heute die Comicverfilmung The Scribbler angekündigt. Katie Cassidy, bekannt aus A Nightmare on Elm Street und Black Christmas, soll die Hauptrolle in dem Thriller übernehmen, dessen Dreharbeiten schon in dieser Woche in Los Angeles anrollen. Begleitet wird sie bei ihrem Abenteuer unter anderem von namhaften Darstellern wie Garret Dillahunt (The Last House on the Left), Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl), Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse), Gina Gershon (Killer Joe), Michael Imperioli (The Lovely Bones), Billy Campbell (The Killing) und Sasha Grey (The Girlfriend Experience). Der ohnehin schon umfangreiche Cast wird von Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) und T.V. Carpio (Limitless) abgerundet. The Scribbler handelt von Suki, einer jungen Frau mit mentalen Störungen und ihrer Behandlung durch eine neuartige Maschine namens The Siamese Burn.
Diese soll Menschen mit einer multiplen Persönlichkeit bei der Bekämpfung des Problems helfen. Doch je näher Suki Richtung Genesung rückt, »
