The odds may not be in "Cougar Town's" favor for another season on ABC -- but there's a chance the show could live on thanks to TBS.

The cable channel is in preliminary discussions with ABC Studios, which produces "Cougar Town," about moving the show to TBS if ABC doesn't order a fourth season, Deadline reports. The deal would be for 30 episodes total spread over two seasons, which would give TBS that much more original programming and would push the show to 91 episodes, enough for the studio to sell in syndication.

TBS isn't saying much about the potential deal. A rep for the channel tells Deadline, "Should the show become available, [Turner Entertainment Networks] looks at all opportunities presented to us that fit our brand."
