Sono state annunciate le nomination dell'edizione 2012 degli MTV Movie Awards. A condurre le nomination il nuovissimo Hunger Games, che ha già conquistato 600 milioni di dollari al box office mondiale, e Le amiche della sposa, entrambi con 8 candidature. Seguono di pari passo con 6 nomination Harry Potter e i doni della morte - Parte 2 e l'adattamento cinematografico di 21 Jump Street.Quest'anno sono state
introdotte delle nuove categorie. Cambiato anche il sistema delle
nomination, da quest'anno non sono verranno più scelte tramite un
sistema di votazione online, ma tramite una serie di addetti ai
lavori. Notare che per la prima volta dall'uscita dei film di
Twilight, la serie basata sui libri della Meyer si è aggiudicata
solamente due nomination. I fan potranno comunque votare fino al 3
