“Leave It To Beavers” Air Date: 4/27/2012

We begin, as with every Grimm episode, with an excerpt from The Brothers Grimm in Microsoft Word’s papyrus font that previews the plot. This week it concerns the toll to be paid for passing the troll’s bridge. From there, we open on our titular hero Nick, who gathers weapons from his Aunt’s armory and then heads to the woods, where, within moments, he’s tackled by a blutbaden, but not just any blutbaden, our favorite sidekick, Monroe himself. The pair are actually engaged in training, and this is the first instance we’ve seen Nick actually learning how to fight these monsters he’s tracking down. While it’s short, it’s necessary, because I was wondering how Nick could defend himself against all these beasts in hand to hand combat, and this makes it a tad more believable (of course, »
