Anche per Sean Penn, forse, è arrivato il momento di iniziare a far ridere. Da quel che riporta Deadline, l’attore due volte premio Oscar (Mystic River e Milk) e noto per le sue intense interpretazioni in film drammatici e d’autore sarebbe ora in trattative per un piccolo ruolo all’interno della prossima commedia diretta e interpretata da Ben Stiller: un remake del classico hollywoodiano del 1947 Sogni proibiti dal titolo The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Ambientata in una casa editrice che pubblica romanzi d’avventura, nella pellicola Penn dovrebbe essere un fotografo.
Prodotto dalla 20th Century Fox, il film vede nel cast anche Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Shirley MacLaine e Patton Oswalt mentre la sceneggiatura dovrebbe essere firmata da Steve Conrad .
L’ultima regia di Ben Stiller risale al 2008 con Tropic Thunder.
