L'attore australiano Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, Memento) e la collega statunitense Jessica Chastain (The Tree of Life, Coriolanus), sono in corsa per entrare nel cast di Iron Man 3, film diretto da Shane Black e con protagonisti Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle e Ben Kingsley.Pearce interpreterebbe il Dr. Aldrich Killian, uno scienziato genetico figura chiave di Extremis, miniserie scritta da Warren Ellis e illustrata da Adi Granov sulla creazione di un tecnovirus. Per la Chastain un personaggio responsabile della nanotecnologia, dall'intelletto paragonabile a quello di Robert Downey Jr-Tony Stark. Non è confermato, ma è possibile che il suo ruolo sia quello della dottoressa Maya Hansen.Il progetto Marvel Studios e Walt Disney Pictures, è in partenza con la produzione in North Carolina, sarà co-prodotto in Cina, ed è previsto in uscita il 3 maggio 2013. »
